This large-scale mural, created for Air Base 116 Luxeuil, pays tribute to the Mirage 2000-5 and to all the personnel who sustain and support the squadron every day.
Installed along the main staircase, it creates a fully immersive experience, guiding the viewer directly into the operational world of French fighter aviation.
At the centre of the composition, a Mirage 2000-5 takes flight, its wings stretched with precision and purpose, capturing the raw power and refined aerodynamics of this interceptor. Nearby, another aircraft in manoeuvre and a jet on the ground highlight the essential complementarity between flight, preparation and technical support.
Every detail — from cockpit reflections to exhaust textures, from sky movement to ground perspective — has been crafted to express the tension, discipline and beauty of the fighter environment.
Above all, this mural is a tribute to the personnel of Air Base 116:
mechanics, controllers, armourers, avionics specialists, logisticians, pilots…
